It took me some time to write my review, but I had to try it on different laundry types every week. When I first opened it I thought it would have a really strong smell, but when I used it on the laundry it left a really nice clean smell that lasted for days. Didn’t damage any fabrics or colors. It lasted me about a month, and I do my laundry about every weekend. I would recommend it for a friend for sure. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

This detergent works really well - it could wash up makeup spots on my hat,which the other detergents couldn't do.Also before I was afraid of buying liquid detergents because they always spilled on my hands.This one has a special construction of the bottle neck which keeps your hands clean.The only one drawback that I have found is a strong unpleasant smell.This smell is so strong that it overlaps my perfume totally.For this reason,even though I really like the quality of this detergent ,I won't ... buy it on my own and won't recommend it to my friends. So, I just folded my first load of baby clothes which had baby food all over them. The white undershirts came out white and the white pajamas that had remnants of carrots also came out without stains. I am pretty impressed. I pre-treated with Awesome orange oxygen spray. The clothes are very soft and only a slight scent which is great for me because I can't stand an overpowering scent. I cloth diaper my baby and can't use any fabric softener on the diapers or they lose their absorbency. I was ... so impressed with this detergent that I just ordered a case of the oxygen detergent without softener to use on his diapers. This will save us tons of money!

I love love love Gain laundry detergent, fireworks & fabric softener. My favorite scent is the original. I love laundry day because my house & closet smell amazing. This detergent alone is great at removing smells and stains I’ve got 3 kids and I’ve never really had any issues with it not removing any and all stains that most other detergent leaves behind. Thank you again for making laundry fun & for making our family smell fabulous!

I am retired and have recently taken up fishing. Being a woman I also have to do the laundry. Gain liquid laundry soap is the only one I've found that will take out not only the bait and fish innards but leaves my clothes smelling just great!. I can even wear my favorite clothes fishing then out later without anyone ever suspecting what I spent the day doing. Go Gain! Thanks for your wonderful product!

This works well as a detergent, however I typically add this product to substitute for a color safe bleach. Specifically in my towels. I live in a humid area and damp towels can hold a stale smell even after being washed by Purex. I add a cap full of this detergent and that problem disappears. It's also good for my dogs blankets. I don't like wasting expensive detergent on my dogs blanket so I tried this and it worked extremely well at getting the doggy odor out. For a dollar I could not be happier.

The container isn't the best. But for $1, I merely pour its contents into a different detergent bottle as a "refill". Other than the lackluster bottle, this product seems to work very well. I've had no issues. After all, it's all just detergent. This stuff seems a bit less concentrated, but I don't care. My clothes come out clean. Between this and unconcentrated dish soap, I'm starting to think concentrated stuff is a crock. I use the same amount and it works the same whether it's concentrated or not!

Wool Wash from the Dollar Tree is as good as Woolite Laundry Detergent. Actually, it's better. More bang for the buck!

Like everyone else, I have used traditional laundry detergent forever. I tried this product for dark clothes and found it to be a great product. I used it for other items and like it so well I tried it for towels and other linens. I think I've found my new laundry detergent. The towels are actually fluffier and smell great. We are a family that has been cursed with clutz syndrome so stains are plentiful and who has time to check every piece of laundry? This detergent erases that need! It has removed grass, blood and oil stains on the 1st try. The fragrance is light and clean and does not irritate sensitive skin. The value is amazing, especially since with a lot of cheaper products you have to use double/triple the amount but not here. The only downfall that I can see for others is it does not have the HE seal ... needed for the newer washers.

I was strapped for cash and needed to grab some detergent to wash clothes. I decided to try the DT laundry detergent. I was SO glad I did. I was so shocked on how it cleaned my clothes. My husband does autobody collision so I paired it with DT Awesome bleach and it worked miracles!! So happy and pleased with this product.

I started using this laundry detergent a month ago, I really love the orange bottle “fresh scent, with stain lifters” the best. The detergent in the orange bottle performed the best with stain removal from my husbands clothes. I used Xtra detergent, Sun with oxi, even persil, and never had good results. But with a detergent for just 1.00$ this LA totally awesome detergent has out performed all the brand names I’ve tried. The orange one works just as well, or even better than Tide. My husband ... works at perkins, and frequently gets gravy sauce flour etc, on his work shirts and pants, this detergent always gets it out. There are a few other LA totally awesome detergents in different bottles I have also tried. Which are, the blue bottle with oxi, and the purple 2-in-1 with fabric softener. The only one I haven’t bought was the green bottle because it doesn’t smell that great. The best one is the orange bottle for stain removal. I might add, I also add a scoop of the orange oxygen powder into the washer with the detergent. I highly reccomend LA totally awesome detergent in the orange bottle!

It's currently sold out so that says a lot. Much better than LA's Totally Awesome. Don't skip over this one because the bottle is smaller it smells so much better than all other DT laundry detergent! I feel Tide is the best detergent but you can get 6-15 bottles of this for the price of 1 bottle Tide depending on what size Tide you get. You cannot get a better detergent for $1. Grab a case when they restock, everyone else is!

I used to make my own laundry detergent. It was time consuming, but with laundry detergent overpriced it was the only options for our family of 5. Then I tried this and I stopped making my own. It simply cleans and nothing else, which for my husband is a plus. He hates smelling like a tropical lavender meadow rain field...that over perfumey smell that a lot of detergents leave behind. This cleans efficiently and leaving your clothes simply smelling like clothes. Now my mother, sister and friends use it.

I decided to give this a shot after reading the other positive reviews. My sports clothes can get a bit funky, so having good laundry detergent that actually deep cleans is important. I've been using this for a month, and it really is better than I expected. The smell is pleasant, but mild. The funk washes away even when washing in cold. The only thing I'm not a fan of is the lack of pour spout since it creates build-up around the cap, so I transferred it to my "brand name" bottle for ... convenience's sake. I never really felt the need to give a rating on dollar store products, but since similar products cost at least $5, so this really is a great bargain, especially since the quality is so great.
